Delete Your Memory Copilot Account
Deleting your account is permanent. We cannot recover your memories, chat history, or shared container memberships once deletion completes.
You can delete your Memory Copilot account in two ways: from inside the app, or from the web (if you have lost access to the app). Both routes trigger the same server-side cascade deletion.
1. Delete from the App (recommended)
- Open Memory Copilot on your iOS or Android device.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap Settings (bottom-right tab) → Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation screen carefully. To confirm, type DELETE into the input field.
- Tap Permanently Delete.
A confirmation banner will appear and you will be signed out.
2. Delete from the Web (if you can’t access the app)
If you no longer have access to the app or the device on which it was installed:
- Email privacy@sanva.tk from the email address linked to your account.
- Use the subject line: Account deletion request.
- Include in the body:
- Your account email (or Apple / Google sign-in identifier hint),
- Confirmation that you are the account holder,
- The phrase: “I request deletion of my Memory Copilot account and all associated data.”
- We will verify your identity (you may need to respond from the registered email or confirm a one-time code) and complete the deletion within 72 hours.
3. What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted:
- Your memories (all text, images, and metadata you saved) are removed from our database and vector index.
- Your chat history with the AI agent is removed.
- Your personal containers are deleted.
- Your memberships in shared containers are removed. The shared container itself remains for the other members; if you were the sole owner, the shared container is deleted.
- Pending invitations you sent are revoked.
- Your subscription record is closed; future renewals are cancelled where we control them. Note: the Apple App Store / Google Play may keep a billing record per their own policies.
- Your Apple Sign-In token is revoked (per App Store guideline 5.1.1(v)).
4. What May Remain
Limited records may persist for a short window after deletion:
- Backup snapshots — automatically overwritten or deleted within 30 days.
- Diagnostic data (Sentry crash reports) — retained up to 90 days; cannot be linked back to you after account deletion.
- Anonymized aggregate usage counts — used for service capacity planning; contains no personal data.
- Legal / tax records of paid subscriptions — retained where required by applicable law.
5. Cancel Your Subscription Separately
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active App Store / Google Play subscription. To stop future charges, cancel through the platform that billed you:
- iOS — see Subscription Terms § 4 or visit Apple Support — Cancel a subscription.
- Android — see Subscription Terms § 4 or visit Google Play — Cancel, pause, or change a subscription.
If you delete your account before cancelling, the platform may continue to charge you until you cancel directly with the platform.
